About Me

Who am I?
I am an editor of non-fiction illustrated titles, primarily cookery, health and lifestyle, but also exercise, travel, popular reference and gift. I have a real passion for cooking and discovering new and healthy ingredients and recipes; I enjoy learning about new places and cultures; and I practise yoga and enjoy running (albeit slowly).
My career began in-house, starting as an editorial assistant and going on to eventually become a senior editor, which has given me great inside knowledge of the publishing process from start to finish. It was in 2018 that I decided to break out on my own and launch my editing business. At the start I did a mixture of project management and editing books, but in the years since, I have shifted my focus to copy-editing and proofreading.
Some of the projects I have worked on over the years include proofreading mythological anthologies, editing a manuscript about the political history of food over the last century, copy-editing a micro travel guide and editing chef monographs. Though I edit and proofread several non-fiction subjects, my particular expertise lies in editing cookbooks, which requires a specific technical skillset that I have been developing ever since I worked in-house.
